CANCELED: Hair & Nail-a-Thon to benefit Shaakira Dorsey

CANCELED: Hair & Nail-a-Thon to benefit Shaakira Dorsey

A fundraiser to benefit a local teen has been canceled.

Hair Plus Fashion Equals Art was holding a hair & nail-A-thon titled: "Love is never ending"  in honor of Shaakira Dorsey.  It was scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 9th from 10 AM to 10 PM.  The reason for the cancellation is unclear.  It is not known if the event will be rescheduled.

Shaakira was an 11th grader at Warrensville Heights High who collapsed and died after an altercation with a fellow student.  The incident happened in October of this year.

Anyone who wants to donate toward the Shaakira Dorsey Fund can still do so at Huntington Bank.

All proceeds will go to the Dorsey family and the Shaakira Dorsey Fund to help with funeral costs and related expenses.
