Congratulations to Brooklyn physical education teacher! | Schools

A Brooklyn physical education teacher is named the 2012 Ohio Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.  Denise Sinko was nominated for the award by a former student teacher.

Sinko currently works at Brookridge Elementary and has been in the teaching profession for the past 26 years. 

Not only is she an educational leader in the classroom, but her passion for physical education shines through outside the walls of the gymnasium. 

In addition to being an outstanding educator, Sinko is recognized for her  past and present efforts in coordinating Field Day events, Get Up and Moving Clubs, and organizing staff activities to promote positive school climate.
